This house in Terrazas de Vista Mar has been completely remodelled: electrical, plumbing, floors and windows were all redone, with new Furtec windows and sliding doors throughout, split air conditioning in every area, LED lighting, and designer lamps and ceiling fans in every room.
It has four bedrooms plus a den, five bathrooms and a service room, and every bedroom looks out to the ocean and the Vista Mar marina. The designer kitchen has high-end appliances, Grohe fittings and a wet bar, and opens to a covered patio with an outdoor kitchen and bar, the private pool and the garden.
The practical side is covered too: a Caterpillar backup generator, reverse-osmosis drinking water with a 1,600-litre tank and pressure pump, Rainbird irrigation, and a garage plus carport.
The house was built in 2004, got a new roof in 2020 and was fully remodelled in 2021. It has 215 m² (2,314 sq ft) under air and 469 m² (5,048 sq ft) of total construction, including the 47 m² covered patio, the 24 m² outdoor kitchen and dining area, the pool deck, the garage and the carport, on a 1,000 m² (10,764 sq ft) lot. The HOA fee is $140 a month, or $1,512 a year if paid in full at the start of the year. Furnishings are negotiable.

The View
The ocean and the marina, from every bedroom
All four bedrooms look out over the Pacific and the Vista Mar marina. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors open the bedrooms to the pool terrace, so the view is part of the room rather than something you go outside to find.
Margarita can arrange a visit at sunset, when the patio lights come on and the sky turns over the water.

The Location
Terrazas de Vista Mar, San Carlos, Panama
Terrazas de Vista Mar is inside Vista Mar Golf & Beach Resort, a gated resort community in San Carlos, Panamá Oeste, on the Pacific coast west of Coronado. It is about 8 km (5 miles) west of Coronado and roughly an hour to an hour and a half from Panama City, depending on traffic.
Living in Vista Mar
The resort has an 18-hole golf course designed by J. Michael Poellot (homeowners can play daily on a monthly membership), a full-service marina with fishing charters, a private beach, a community pool with bar and restaurant, a tennis court, 24-hour security and its own water wells.
